President/Founder/CEO: Mr. Siani started Siani Pest Control in 1985, with one small truck, a sprayer, and a lot of determination out of the basement of his home. After returning from Vietnam and getting a degree at Rutgers, Mr. Siani worked for the next 8 years as a quality control inspector for the Food and Drug Administration. During this time he was exposed to many of the practices and techniques used in the pest control industry. He was eventually hired away from the FDA by a private company doing consulting work in the Reading area, and after a brief stint with them, Mr. Siani decided he wanted to work for himself and Siani Pest Control was born.
It took many lean years of trial and error in which Mr. Siani made a name for himself locally as a wood destroying insect expert. He worked from the bottom up in the industry, and after 5 years, he was finally able to expand and hire his first full time employee! Since then, Siani Pest Control has grown and expanded out of Mr. Siani's garage to include a retail store and warehouse for our supplies. The company now has a full time staff of 5. We also have 2 more part time technicians and a part time clerk/office assistant in our retail store.
Mr. Siani is now semi-retired, and is heavily involved in restoring the local VFW club in Womelsdorf of which he is currently acting Commander.
Mrs. Siani is Tom's wife, an officer of the company, and the secretary and book keeper too. She helped him get the company started by working a full time job away from her family, and still doing all the important book keeping and accounting work for the company. Most of our customers know Nancy as the voice on the phone. Her knowledge of the industry and excellent customer service skills have made her an invaluable member of our team.
Over the years as the company has grown, Nancy has developed book keeping methods to help us stay in compliance with the ever growing litany of state and federal regulations, as well as allow us the means to maintain a high level of customer service. Nancy currently maintains her role in the company and remains its backbone.
Michael Siani (Tom's son) is titled Vice President. His role in the company varies to involve scheduling, helping with book keeping, managing the employees and retail store, setting up advertising, and basically making sure the ship at Siani Pest Control Inc. runs smoothly. He works closely with all of our team members to ensure that all of our customers needs are being met in the safest most efficient manner possible.His charge is not only that of overseeing the company as it makes its transition from one generation to the next while Tom begins his delve into retirement. It is to help it grow and ensure that it will remain viable for generations to come.
Craig is the companies Sr technician, and entering his 11th year, has been with us longer than any other employee. He is reliable, friendly and very hard working. Willing to put in countless hours of overtime, Craig continues to be an irreplaceable member of our team. Since October 2014, when Craig took over our Lawn and Tree Care Division, our retention percentage had increased greatly as well as the over all number of customers we serve.Whether it is servicing customers, making sure the shop is clean, or reminding us what needs to be done to keep things going smoothly, we know that we can always count on Craig to be there.
Jesse is going on his 9th year with the company and is viewed as one of our most valuable and versatile assets. Affectionately known as 'The Big Dog' Jesse has proven to be extremely reliable and hard working gaining the trust and respect of both our customers and staff. Jesse, our long time foremost bed bug expert, as well as best salesman in the field has now transitioned to our lead WDI inspector and deals with all of our new termite and carpenter ant related calls. Jesse is always willing to go the extra mile to make our customers happy, and make sure the job is done right. Remember when you call in with a termite or carpenter ant issue to ask for 'The Big Dog'
A former US Marine and Penn State graduate, Ryan is in his 8th year with the company. Ryan is our full time Wildlife Specialist, covering all of our customers trapping/wildlife related needs that go as far as home repair/remediation. Ryan has also taken on the role of company sales representative, where he is excelling as he continues to add his personal touch to the difficult task of recruiting new customers. His classic USMC grit and determination has proven invaluable as he continues to grow the Wildlife Division. Affectionately known as 'The Skunk Whisperer' Ryan carefully handles each situation with discretion, and provides a safe atmosphere for the customer while he removes difficult vertebrates in a humane way.
Jeff is new to our team, but he has over decade of experience in the industry. You can always count on Jeff for a pleasant smile and a helping hand in any endeavor, and his vast expertise in the areas of wildlife and municipal treatments have proved to be a great addition to the company.
